7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners

I consider myself a lifelong learner. If there is a class or workshop I can take that will enable me to learn something that will help me become better at my job, I will jump at the opportunity. I do view problems as challenges and receive a great deal of personal satisfaction after overcoming the challenges. It is also much easier to begin with the end in mind when tackling a new task. I must admit, however, that I have stayed away as long as I could on experimenting with the new technological advancements. Technology is an area I am not as confident in. Having confidence in myself as a competent, effective learner in this area is the hardest habit for me. I do feel, however, by reaching out to my coworkers and friends that are strong in this area, and by playing around and viewing the problems as challenges, I will succeed. I work with youth who surround themselves with technology and it is time that I also learn it. How can I be an effective mentor if I don't know what they are talking about?
